UTICA, NY- Graduate student
Kwasi Addo (Menands, NY/Shaker) of the Utica College football team was recently selected to compete in the FCS National Bowl at Daytona Stadium in Daytona Beach, FL, which took place last Sunday. The game featured players from non-FBS (Division I Football Bowl Subdivision) schools and is presented by sports marketing and management company East Preps LLC.
Â
Addo was a second team All-Conference selection this year after he finished the regular season with 90 tackles, which was good enough to rank fourth in the E8. Addo concluded his career with arguably his best game in the Orange and Blue as he collected a career-high 21 tackles against Grove City College to become just the third player in program history to record 300 tackles in his career.
Â
The Pioneers wrapped up the season with a 6-5 overall record and qualified for their fourth ECAC Bowl Game in program history.Â
