DANBURY, CT -
Nate Palmer (Verona, NY/Vernon Verona Sherrill) of the Utica University football team has been named the Eastern College Athletic Conference North Offensive Player of the Month for September, as announced by the ECAC on Thursday.
Palmer has been terrorizing opposing defenses throughout Utica's historic 5-0 start. The Verona, NY native has put himself on a national scale as he ranks first in NCAA Division III with 725 receiving yards and is tied for third with eight receiving touchdowns as well as 145 receiving yards per game. Within the Empire 8, Palmer has nine more receptions than anyone else, 295 more receiving yards, 38 more receiving yards per game and 1.5 more receptions per game.
The ECAC (Eastern College Athletic Conference) is an eighty-four-year-old organization with well over 200 member schools across all three NCAA Divisions - I, II and III. The ECAC exists to enhance the experience of student-athletes participating in intercollegiate athletics and provides great value for universities and colleges by sponsoring championships, leagues, bowl games, tournaments and other competitions throughout the Northeast. The ECAC's esports platform is growing and now totals more than sixty colleges and universities and is expanding the geographic footprint for the conference nationally.
