UTICA, NY - The Utica University swim & dive teams wrapped up their first meet in over a month on Saturday afternoon against Alfred University. The women fell 126-74 while the men were defeated 162-31.

Paige Levine (Holtsville, NY/Sachem East) continued her strong season in freestyle events as she captured first in the women's 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 11:57.93. Levine also swam terrific in the women's 500 yard freestyle and captured first place with a time of 5:52.52.
Annabelle Workman (Carthage, NY/Carthage) had a great day placing first in both of her events. In the women's one meter diving she scored 118.58 and then 105.30 in her second attempt.Â

Jackson Sorbello placed first in the men's 100 yard butterfly clocking in at 58.73. Nick Massa captured first place in the men's 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:13.15. Massa also swam well in the men's 200 yard freestyle and came in second clocking in at 2:13.91. Sorbello came in second place in the men's 50 yard freestyle coming in at 23.67 which was just .33 behind first place.

The teams will remain home and host Medaille University and Herkimer County Community College on Saturday, January 21 at 1 p.m. at the Utica pool.
