UTICA, NY - The Utica University swim & dive teams both defeated Medaille University and Herkimer County Community College on Saturday afternoon. The women beat Medaille 98-33 and defeated Herkimer 100-18. The men beat Medaille 71-34 and defeated Herkimer 73-41.

Kira Seaman (Fort Edward, NY/Hudson Falls) had her best performance this season reeling in a trifecta of victories. She captured first in the women's 200 yard individual medley with a time of 2:43.55. Seaman then dominated the women's 200 butterfly winning with a time of 2:55.12 which was an incredible 38 seconds better than second place. She concluded her day capturing first in the women's 200 yard breaststroke clocking in at 3:05.49.

Paige Levine (Holtsville, NY/Sachem East) won the women's 1650 yard freestyle coming in at 20:27.75. She also won the women's 100 yard freestyle with a time of 1:01.73 which topped second place by over eight seconds. Kimmy Serio won the women's 200 yard freestyle clocking in at 2:29.45 which was over 45 seconds faster than second place.
Sara Kuiken (Valley Falls, NY/Tamarac) won the women's 50 yard freestyle with a time of 29.13. She also won the women's 200 yard backstroke finishing at 2:33.56.Â

Annabelle Workman (Carthage, NY/Carthage) continued her great season in diving events capturing two victories. She won the women's one meter diving with a score of 97.95. She followed that up placing first in another women's one meter diving event scoring a season-high 168.45 which was over 67 points higher than second place.

Jackson Sorbello continued to dominate freestyle events and won the men's 200 yard freestyle clocking in at 2:09.99. He then won the men's 200 yard individual medley with a time of 2:15.55. He concluded his trifecta of victories by winning the men's 500 yard freestyle finishing in 5:33.93.Â

Ronald Batario won the men's 50 yard freestyle with a time of 24.92. He followed this up winning the men's 100 yard freestyle finishing in 55.66. Phillip Ross placed first in the men's 200 yard backstroke clocking in at 2:34.52.Â

The teams will remain home and host St. Lawrence University in its final regular season meet on Saturday, January 28 at 1 p.m.
