BLOOMINGTON, MN - Nicholas DeForrest (Rome, NY/Holland Patent) has ascended to All-American status. 

On the second day of the new year, D3Football.com released its four All-American teams containing the standout stars across all Division III football programs for the 2024 season. Listed among the array of superstar talent is Utica Football's own Nick DeForrest, who adds yet another accolade to his already growing list of achievements. DeForrest was selected to the All-America Second Team for the position of special teams, cementing his status as one of the premier special teams threats in all of Division III. This award comes after DeForrest recently received All-Region recognition back in December, obtaining a First Team All-Region Two nod alongside some of the best players in the Northeast. 

DeForrest, a product of nearby Holland Patent, is only in his Sophomore season with the Pioneers. Utica's elite specialist was also just one of only eight Sophomores who achieved an All-American selection this season. Those eight sophomores made up just 7% of the All-American nods, with 104 total players being named across the four teams.
