For the second time in the 2025 season,
Logan Frederick (Little Falls, NY/Little Falls) has been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week.
Frederick had another impressive individual performance on Saturday in Utica's big 51-28 road win over Alfred University. Just one day before National Tight End Day, the Pioneer tight end logged game-highs for receptions and receiving yards with eight catches for 124 yards and a touchdown. He was adept at catching the deep ball as well, recording receptions of 12, 14, 30, and even 48 yards in the game. The tight end averaged 15.5 yards per reception in the outing.Â
Frederick currently has 37 receptions for 486 yards and six touchdowns on the year, ranking third in the Empire 8 for receptions, fourth for receiving yards, and tied for second in receiving touchdowns, with the Little Falls native being surrounded by wide receivers in all of those categories. He is a key piece of one of Division III's most lethal passing games and has had a breakout season in his senior year.
Frederick brings home the fifth D3football.com Team of the Week award for the Pioneers in the 2025 campaign. He now has two, while
Isaiah Thomas (Kingston, NY/Kingston),
Jordyn Davis (Hempstead, NY/Uniondale), and
Tyler Szalkowski (Rochester, NY/Aquinas Institute) all have one selection each.
The Pioneers will play host to St. John Fisher this weekend on Mohawk Valley Challengers Day. That game is sponsored by Human Technologies and is scheduled for a 1:00 PM kickoff.
