UTICA, NY - The Utica University women's indoor track and field team will attend the DIII Elite Meet at Nazareth University on Friday, February 14, 2025 at 4pm and Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 10am. These meets will be held at Golisano Training Center in Rochester, NY.

Schedule Breakdown: The DIII Elite Meet kicks off at 4 p.m. on Friday the 14th with a pair of field events with weight throw first followed by the long jump. The track events begin with the 5000m run followed by 60m hurdles, 60m dash, distance medley relay, and will finish with the 4x400m relay. Day two kicks off at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday the 15th with the field event of triple jump. Track events blast off with the 5000m run followed by the 60m hurdles, 60m dash, mile run, 400m, 800m run, 200m run, and will finish with the 3000m run. Who's Who: The Pioneers have qualified a total of 17 athletes for this meet. In the field events,
Riley King (Oswego, NY/Oswego),
Ranasia Bailey (Parish, NY/Altmar-Parish-Williamstown), and
Hailey Hrouda (Wappingers Falls, NY/Roy C. Ketcham) will compete in both the shot put and the weight throw, while
Amanda Hausle (Smithtown, NY/Smithtown West) will compete in the shot put.
Nora Devitt (Beverly, MA/Beverly),
Zeniyah Gholson (Monticello, NY/Monticello), and
Sophia Bruce (Apalachin, NY/Vestal) will all be competing in both the long and triple jumps.
Hannah Allison (Herkimer, NY/Herkimer) will be competing in the pole vault.Â

See Them Run: On the track, spectators will see a lot of
Shiann Williams (Bronx, NY/Hydel) who is competing in the 60m, the DMR with
Catherine Manna (Whitesboro, NY/whitesboro),
Madalyn Haaf (Pompey, NY/Fabius-Pompey), and
Marlo Townsend (Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy), the 400m, and the 200m. In the 60m hurdles,
Stefania Grimaldi (Poland, NY/Poland Central),
Isabella Frick (Longmeadow, MA/Longmeadow),
Amelia Petersen (Fonda, NY/Fonda-Fultonville), and
Olivia Jensen (Red Hook, NY/Red Hook) have all qualified.
Nyasia Marsh (Westmoreland, NY/Westmoreland) has qualified to compete in both the 200m and the 400m alongside Williams. Both Manna and Townsend will both also compete in the 3000m.Â

Fast Feet: At the Blue and Orange Invitational on February 7, the 200m had a top 5 finish from
Shiann Williams (Bronx, NY/Hydel) with a 26.19 time which cemented her as number four in the all time list. The Pioneers had another top 25 finish from
Catherine Manna (Whitesboro, NY/whitesboro) in the 800m with a time of 2:28.99. CNY native
Marlo Townsend (Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy) had a seventh place finish in the 5000m with a time of 19:08.59. This run locked Townsend in as the number three all time runner in this event.

Field Frenzy: Sophomore
Hannah Allison (Herkimer, NY/Herkimer) locked in the number two all time slot in the high jump with a jump of 1.58m.
Nora Devitt (Beverly, MA/Beverly) was the top Pioneer in the long jump with a leap of 5.02m. In the triple jump
Zeniyah Gholson (Monticello, NY/Monticello) took second place with a jump of 11.05m. Gholson was joined in the top five by Devitt with a leap of 10.95m.
Riley King (Oswego, NY/Oswego) was a powerhouse for the Pioneers in the weight throw. She took home fifth place overall and asserted herself as the number two on the all time list with a throw of 15.75m.
