UTICA, NY - The Utica University women's indoor track & field team saw two athletes compete in the pentathlon, the only event today. Stefania Grimaldi (Poland, NY/Poland Central) and Isabella Frick (Longmeadow, MA/Longmeadow) both competed for Utica and both had terrific performances. Grimaldi finished second all-time in program history followed by Frick's 10th place all-time finish. Grimaldi finished in sixth place and Frick placed seventh.
 
Frick placed fifth overall in the 60m hurdles with a 9.81 and taking seventh all-time and Grimaldi finished in fourth with a 9.80. Grimaldi picked up a personal record in the high jump with her 1.45m jump. 
 
Frick scored a 7.00m throw in the shot put, making that a personal record while Grimaldi finished in third place with a 9.22m throw. Grimaldi stamped a 4.99m in the long jump which is another personal record for her. 
 
The Pioneers continue with all other events tomorrow morning at 11 a.m.
