ROCHESTER, NY – Riley King (Oswego, NY/Oswego) of the Utica University women's outdoor track and field team has been named Empire 8 Co-Field Athlete of the Week, as announced by the league on Monday.
 
King placed first overall and recorded a school record in the hammer throw at the Utica Almost Spring Invite with a 47.57m toss. King was the previous owner of the record, with a 47.41m toss last season. In the shot put, Riley King (Oswego, NY/Oswego) continued her dominance with a fourth-place finish of a 10.16m toss. In the discus throw, King once again cleaned up with a third-place throw of 28.24m.
 
King and the Pioneers return to action on Saturday, April 5 as the team travels to nearby Clinton, NY for the Hamilton Outdoor Invitational. Start time is slated for 10am.
