UTICA, NY - The Utica University women's cross country team is set to take on the University of Rochester's Yellowjacket Invitational. Start time on Saturday, September 20 is set for 11am.

Last Time Out: The team placed sixth out of eight teams at the Hamilton College Short Course Invitational last Saturday morning. Leading the way for the Pioneers was
Marlo Townsend (Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy) who was the first Pioneer to cross the finish line in seventh place with a time of 15:00.2.
Catherine Manna (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) finished not far behind, clocking in a 15th place time of 15:20.5.
Who's Going: 23 teams will be in attendance, including some Empire 8 competition. Alfred, Brockport, Hartwick, Keuka, Geneseo, and St. John Fisher will represent the Empire 8 alongside the Pioneers on Saturday. Some Division I competition will also be in attendance in the Colgate Red Raiders and the University at Buffalo Bulls.
About the Course: Genesee Valley Park will serve as the host venue for this weekend's events, with the women competing in a 6k course. This is the first time that the women's team will compete on a 6k course this season, competing in 4k races at both SUNY Poly and Hamilton.
Up Next: The team will travel to Bethlehem, PA to take on the Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh University. Start time on Friday, October 3 is set for 12pm.
