CLINTON, NY - The Utica University women's cross country team placed sixth out of eight teams at the Hamilton College Short Course Invitational on Saturday morning.
Leading the way for the Pioneers was
Marlo Townsend (Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy) who was the first Pioneer to cross the finish line in seventh place with a time of 15:00.2.
Catherine Manna (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) finished not far behind, clocking in a 15th place time of 15:20.5.
Lacey Simmons (Vernon Center, NY/Vernon-Verona-Sherrill) and
Maria Stuhlman (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) finished 31st and 32nd, respectively, with times of 15:44.1 and 15.46.7.
Emma Charboneau (Fultonville, NY/Fonda-Fultonville) was the fifth Pioneer across the finish line with a time of 17:56.7, while
Isabella Verdejo (New Hartford, NY/New Hartford) rounded out the scorecard for the Pioneers with a time of 18:40.0.
Utica next travels to Rochester, NY to take on the Yellowjacket Invitational, hosted by University of Rochester. Start time on Saturday, September 20 is set for 10am.
