ROCHESTER, NY - Hannah Pcola (Cassville, NY/Mount Markham) has been named Empire 8 Co-Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league on Monday. 

Pcola nabbed her third win of the season over previously undefeated Houghton University in the team's Empire 8 opener on Saturday. In the 3-1 win over the Highlanders, Pcola managed a .750 save percentage while making three saves with only one goal against through a full 90 minutes. Pcola made another 11 saves in the team's final non-conference contest against Hamilton College, posting a .875 save percentage on the week with a 1.00 goals against average with a total of 14 saves.

Pcola and the Pioneers return to action on Wednesday, September 24 as the team hosts the St. John Fisher University Cardinals. Game time from Laura M. Casamento Field is set for 4pm.
