Biography

2014: Played in nine games… Named an offensive captain by the coaching staff… Caught 12 passes for a career-high 171 yards… Had four games in which he gained 32 or more receiving yards… Named to the Empire 8 All-Conference Second Team.

2013: Played in 10 games… Caught 16 passes for 97 yards and one touchdown… The touchdown came in Utica’s 26-21 loss to Ithaca… Had two games where he caught four or more passes, including seven for 41 yards (both career highs) in the Pioneers’ 34-0 loss to Salisbury.

2012: Played in four games… Recorded four tackles, all unassisted… Recorded three tackles in the Pioneers’ 43-7 win over Hartwick.

Personal: Michael is a 2011 graduate of Holy Trinity and is the son of Helen and Michael Russo … He is currently pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice.
