2014: Played in 11 games… Recorded 42 tackles, 26 unassisted, and one for a loss of one yard… Intercepted a career-high six passes for 61 yards… Became the program’s all-time leader in interception return yards with 172 in his career…Had five pass breakups… Named a 2014 Pre-Season Division III All-American Honorable Mention… Named to the Empire 8 All-Conference Second Team.

2013: Played in nine games… Recorded 50 tackles, 33 unassisted, and 5.5 for a loss of 25 yards, all career highs… Had two sacks for a loss of 18 yards in Utica’s 25-16 win over Union College… Intercepted five passes for 65 yards… Picked off two passes in UC’s 42-22 victory over Lewis & Clark… Had six pass breakups, including two games with at least two… Named an Empire 8 All-Conference Defensive Honorable Mention.

2012: Played in nine games… Recorded 39 tackles, 22 unassisted, and two for a loss of three yards… Forced one fumble and recovered four for a gain of 15 yards… Intercepted five passes for 46 yards… Had two games where he intercepted at least two passes… Had two pass breakups… Named Defensive Player of the Year by the coaching staff.

Personal: James is a 2011 graduate of Mahopac High School and is the son of Kim and Jim Lenahan … He is currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity.
