Utica, NY (10/14/13)- Junior Connor Butkiewicz of the Utica College football team was named the College’s Male Athlete of the Week, Monday. 

Butkiewicz set a new single game school record with 431 yards passing as he completed 31 of his 36 passing attempts in Utica's 44-27 win over Frostburg on Saturday.  He threw two touchdown passes including a game-high 68-yard TD completion for UC’s opening score. 

On the year, Butkiewicz ranks second in the conference with a 66.8 completion percentage and an average of 264.8 yards per game.  He has racked up 1,324 yards passing and has seven touchdowns through five games.

The Pioneers return home on Saturday for the College's Homecoming when they will take on E8 rival Ithaca College at Charles A. Gaetano Stadium.  The contest is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
