Utica, NY (10/20/14) – Senior midfielder Jenna Hughes of the Utica College women’s soccer team was named the College’s Female Athlete of the Week for her performance over the weekend.
 
Hughes picked up a goal and an assist in the Homecoming match up against Alfred. Hughes’ assist came in the 70th minute when she and classmate Maddisen Melley connected. Six minutes later, she netted her first goal of the season to help secure the victory.
 
The assist and goal were Hughes’ first of the season, bringing her season total to three points. Hughes has started in seven games and has seen action in thirteen while firing three shots on goal. 
 
The Pioneers return to action Wednesday evening at Bard College Wednesday night. The game is set to start at 7 p.m.
