UTICA, NY- Freshmen lacrosse player Brooke Miller was named the College’s Female Athlete of the Week after her stand out performance in the team’s two games this past weekend.

Miller recorded a season and team-high eight points (seven goals, one assist) Saturday in Utica’s 20-11 win over Empire 8 foe Elmira College. She is now tied for third on the team in goals with 23 and is fourth in overall points with 28. In the conference Miller is tied for first with Elizabeth Westwood of Houghton in scoring among freshmen. She has also recorded at least one point in 11 of the team’s 13 games so far this season.

The Pioneers return to action Wednesday as they host Ithaca College at the Charles A. Gaetano Stadium, game time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
