UTICA, NY- Utica College women’s hockey junior Gabrielle Schnepp has been named the College’s female athlete of the week for her performance in two games against SUNY Canton this past weekend.
 
In Saturday’s game, Schnepp had two goals and one assist to lead the Pioneers to a 4-1 victory over the Kangaroos. On Sunday, Schnepp had one goal and two assists in a 6-3 win to complete the weekend sweep over Canton. Schnepp finished with totals of three goals and three assists for six points on the weekend.
 
Schnepp’s six points has her tied for the team lead with linemate Morgan Reed. She also leads the team in goals (three) through the first two games of the season. 
 
The Pioneers will stay at home for their next game, as they will open up ECAC West play against William Smith College on Saturday. Game time is scheduled for 2 p.m.
