UTICA, NY- Utica College women’s hockey player, Morgan Reed has been named the College’s Female Athlete of the Week for her performance in two games this past weekend.
 
Reed scored all four goals for the Pioneers on Saturday in a 4-1 win over Oswego State. On Sunday, Reed she added another goal, as well as an assist in a 2-2 tie with Oswego to extend her season-opening scoring streak to six games. 
 
Reed leads the nation with 17 points and 2.83 points per game. Her nine goals at tied for the national lead and her eight assists are tied for third in the country.  She needs nine more points to match her career best in a single-season.   
 
The Pioneers will be back in action Saturday and Sunday against Elmira College. Saturday’s game will be at 3 p.m. in Elmira, and Sunday’s contest will be back at the Utica Memorial Auditorium at 3 p.m.
