UTICA, NY- Utica College sophomore track and field athlete Elizabeth Swasey was named the Utica College Female Athlete of the Week for her dominant performance at the Hamilton College Continental Invitational on Saturday.
            Swasey started the meet by winning the pole vault with a mark of 3.05m. It was her fifth career victory in the pole vault and her first in 2017.
            She wasn’t done there as she went on to win the high jump, matching her career best mark with 1.50m. It was the first time that Swasey competed in the high jump since the Empire 8 Track and Field Championships last season. It was also the first time that she won the high jump in her career at Utica College.
            The team returns to action at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday where they will be competing in the Pioneer Invitational at the Todd & Jen Hutton Sports & Recreation Center on the campus of Utica College.
