UTICA, NY — Senior Brooke Miller of the Utica College women’s lacrosse team was named the College’s Female Athlete of the Week on Monday.

In two games last week against No. 24 St. John Fisher and No. 20 Stevens Institute of Technology, Miller totaled four points and extended her scoring streak to eight games. In the game against Fisher she had one goal and one assist. Against Stevens, she scored two goals on four shots despite the loss.

This season the senior is leading the team with 22 goals through 11 games. Since conference play started she has scored eight goals and two assists, helping guide UC to a 2-2 record in E8 action.  Miller is also just two goals shy of becoming just the ninth player in program history to score 100 goals in a career.

Miller and the women’s lacrosse team will return to Charles A. Gaetano Stadium on Saturday as they host the visiting Highlanders of Houghton College. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
