Utica, NY – Allison Wagner of the Utica College women’s soccer team has been selected as the UC Female Athlete of the Week for her performance over the last week.
 
Wagner accumulated 21 saves in the two games against Potsdam and Clarkson, and earned a 1-0 shutout win over Clarkson. Her career saves tally has now reached 346, moving her into second place in program history for saves in a career.
 
She made 13 saves in the loss to Potsdam before coming up with eight more saves in the win against Clarkson. Wagner now has two shutouts on the season and needs 80 more stops in net to become UC women soccer’s all-time leader in saves.
 
The Pioneers are back on the pitch Wednesday, as they travel to battle Nazareth College. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
