Utica University Athletics

Utica, NY – Lexi Scaccia of the Utica College women’s lacrosse team has been named the UC Female Athlete of the Week for her work during spring break.
 
Scaccia helped lead UC to a 2-0 record last week, as the team defeated Regis College (Final: 16-7) and Medaille College (Final: 20-8). She registered a total of eight goals and one assist in the two contests, and came up with 16 draw controls and eight ground balls.
 
Utica is now 4-1 overall, and is led by Lexi with 12 goals so far this season. The Pioneers are back in action Monday for a road matchup with SUNY Poly at 4 p.m.
