UTICA, NY – The Utica College baseball team dropped another twin bill Sunday against St. John Fisher at Dugan Yard after losing game two to a walk off hit in the bottom of the eighth. 
The Pioneers fall to 11-7 overall and return to the diamond Wednesday as they cross town to face local rival SUNYIT in Marcy, NY.  First pitch of the nine-inning game is set for 4 p.m. at Peter A. Spina Field.
The Cardinals improve to 10-14 on the season after the four game sweep and hit the road Tuesday to face Oswego State for a 4 p.m. afternoon contest.
St. John Fisher 26, Utica 4 – Game One FinalFisher scored thee plus runs in each of the first seven innings racking up an impressive 27 hits. The home team managed a commanding 26-3 lead headed into the eighth inning as it used seven extra base hits including three home runs to handle the game one victory.
Eight different Pioneers each recorded one hit apiece including 
Adam Pexton (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro), 
Benjamin Hobaica (Clinton, NY/Clinton), 
Ryan Watson (Deerfield, NY/Whitesboro) and 
Jake Ryan (Kingston, NY/Kingston) who also tallied a score to total Utica's four runs.
William Winsman (Palatine Bridge, NY/Canajoharie) took the loss for UC with 2.2 innings of work giving up 13 runs on 12 hits while Fisher's Terry Engals improved to 2-1 on the season tossing seven innings allowing just three runs on six hits.
Cardinal first baseman Scott Eisenmerger smacked his third homerun of the weekend as he went 3-for-5 with five RBI and three runs scored.  Fisher third baseman Matt Cahill posted a 5-for-6 day at the plate with three runs and two RBI.
St. John Fisher 2, Utica 1 – Game Two Final (8 Inn)Game two featured no score and just three hits, two by the Pioneers, after four and a half innings of play.  Fisher got on the board first in the bottom of the fifth with a two-out double to take a mere 1-0 lead.
Utica answered right back in the next frame with back-to-back singles and a fielders' choice to knot the game up, 1-1.
The home team Cardinals continued their momentum, however as they worked a walk off victory in the bottom of the eighth to secure the four game sweep.
Hobaica, 
Thomas Dinnen (Cortlandt Manor, NY/Walter Panas ), Watson and 
Daniel Priore (Utica, NY/T.R. Proctor) were responsible for the Pioneers offense with one base knick each.
Watson evened his season mark at 1-1 on the mound with 7.1 innings of work allowing two runs on eight hits and punching out four Cardinals.  Fisher's Marc Iseneker earned his first win of the season with a complete game one run victory.
