2014: Hobaica played in 24 games, while starting 23 for the Pioneers… Had 21 hits in 79 at-bats for a .266 average…  Opened the season on a five game hitting streak, registering 10 hits, five RBIs, 17 at-bats and 13 runs, in the first five games… Had at least one at-bat every game this season… Had seven multi-hit games…  Registered six putouts on two different occasions… Recorded four doubles and 10 RBIs… Lead the team with 24 runs… Had a season high six runs in Utica’s victory over Me.-Farmington (3/16/14)… Went 8-for-8 in stolen base attempts… Registered 44 putouts and a field percentage of .945… Named Empire 8 Conference Player of the Week (3/17/14)… Named Utica College Athlete of the Week (3/17/14).  

2013: Hobaica played in 29 games, starting 27 … Had 18 hits in 81 at-bats for a .247 average … Hit for two doubles, five RBI’s and scored 12 runs … Walked eight times and struck out 16 times … Stole 11 bases on 12 attempts … Had a four-game hitting streak (3/20/2013 – 4/7/2013) … Ended the season with a six-game hitting streak (5/1/2013 – 5/8/2013).

2012: Hobaica started all 31 games in which he played … Tallied 27 hits in 106 at-bats for a .255 average … One of four Pioneers with 25-plus hits … Tied for the team lead with 14 walks … Stole 19 bases on 25 attempts … Hobaica registered a hit in nine of the last 10 games, including a seven-game hitting streak (4/25 to 5/2) … Went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and two stolen bases against Union College (4/4).

Personal: Benjamin is a 2011 graduate of Clinton Central School … He is the son of Elizabeth and Mark Hobaica and is pursuing a degree in Biology.
