ROCHESTER, NY - Hannah Pcola (Cassville, NY/Mount Markham) of the Utica University women's soccer team has been named Empire 8 Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league on Monday. 

Pcola posted her fifth clean sheet of the season in the Pioneers' 0-0 draw with SUNY Brockport. Brockport's high powered offense that had averaged just under 15 shot attempts per game was held to just four shots on goal, all of which were saved by Pcola. The senior goalkeeper is now one of two goalkeepers in the conference that Brockport has not managed to score on. This is her third weekly honor of the season. 

Pcola and the Pioneers return to action on Wednesday, October 29 as the team travels to take on the Keuka College Wolves. Game time from Keuka Park, NY is set for 7pm.
