UTICA, NY - Following the conclusion of the Empire 8's Golf Championship over the weekend, the E8 All-Conference teams have been named for the 2025-26 men's golf season. Two Pioneers earned recognition: senior
Nathan MacDonald (Canton, MA/Canton) on the second team, and freshman
Koltin Pickell (Ellenville, NY/Ellenvlle) on the first team. Additionally, junior
Aydin Parekh (Nobleton, Ontario/Blyth Academy) was named to the E8 Tomorrow's Leaders Team, recognizing leadership and character.
MacDonald put together a steady four-round performance across both portions of the championship, opening with rounds of 78 and 76 at Teugega Country Club before following with 78 and 82 at Lebanon Country Club. His consistency across the fall and spring segments resulted in a +30 total (314), tying him for seventh overall and earning Second Team All-Conference honors for a third-straight year.
Pickell showed strong improvement across the championship, beginning with rounds of 84 and 75 in the fall at Teugega before responding with a standout spring showing at Lebanon. He closed with rounds of 89 and 73, including one of the lowest rounds by a Pioneer in the event, to finish at +37 (321) and earn Third Team All-Conference recognition.
Parekh was selected as Utica's representative on the Empire 8 Tomorrow's Leaders Team, an honor recognizing one student-athlete from each institution who exemplifies leadership on the course, in the classroom, and within the community while consistently competing with honor and integrity. Parekh also contributed to the Pioneers' performance at the Empire 8 Championship, carding rounds of 79 and 75 during the fall portion at Teugega Country Club before adding rounds of 88 and 81 in the spring at Lebanon Country Club to finish at +42 overall.
Utica men's golf has just one event remaining on the schedule: the Oswego State Spring Invitational. On Saturday and Sunday, April 25th and 26th, teams will compete at the Oswego Country Club. Tee times are set to begin at 11:00 am on day one and 10:30 am on day two.
