Men’s Golf Ready for Season Finale at Oswego Invitational

UTICA, NY - Utica University's men's golf team is set to wrap up its 2025-26 season in a two-day competition at the Oswego Country Club. The Oswego State Spring Invitational will take place on April 25th and 26th, with tee times beginning at 11:00 am and 10:30 am, respectively.

Last Week's Recap: Last week, the Pioneers faced a busy stretch of competition, beginning with a fourth-place finish at the SUNY Delhi quad match with a team score of +21. Koltin Pickell (Ellenville, NY/Ellenvlle) led the Pioneers with an eighth-place finish at +3, while Aydin Parekh (Nobleton, Ontario/Blyth Academy), Daniel Maloney (Syracuse, NY/Living Word Academy), and Neil Roman (Oswego, NY/Oswego) followed with rounds of +5, +6, and +7, respectively, as Utica placed four golfers inside the top 20. Drake Morse (Grand Rapids, MI) and Louie Roman (Oswego, NY/Oswego) added rounds of +9 and +10, while Jacob Martyniuk (New Hartford, NY/New Hartford) made his collegiate debut.

The Pioneers then completed the Empire 8 Championship with the spring portion at Lebanon Country Club, finishing fourth out of eight teams with a four-round total of +136. Nathan MacDonald (Canton, MA/Canton) paced Utica with a seventh-place finish at +30, while Pickell continued his strong rookie campaign with a tie for 15th. Parekh and Roman added top-25 finishes, highlighting a balanced lineup as Utica wrapped up conference play and now turns its attention to the Oswego State Spring Invitational.

Conference Class: The orange and blue had multiple players recognized with E8 postseason honors following the championship, highlighted by MacDonald earning Second Team All-Conference after a seventh-place finish and Pickell securing Third Team honors in his rookie season with a top-15 showing. In addition, Parekh was named Utica's representative on the Empire 8 Tomorrow's Leaders Team, recognizing his leadership, character, and contributions both on and off the course.
