2016: Participated in seven meets over the course of the indoor season … As a thrower he competed in two events throughout the season which were the shot put and the weight throw … At the Utica College Doris Miga Invitational he recorded his best shot put distance with a mark of 10.98M (2/6/16) … For the weight throw his top distance of the season was 10.30M which he recorded at the Utica College Pioneer Invitational (2/20/16).
 
Throughout the course of the outdoor season he competed at six meets for the team … The two events he participated in during the spring were the discus toss and the hammer throw … He recorded his best discus toss mark at the Empire 8 Track & Field Championships with a distance of 35.32M (4/23/16) … At the Jerry Gravel Classic he threw his season best distance of 31.68M in the hammer throw event (4/16/16).

Personal: Nelzy is a 2015 graduate of Valley Stream North High School and the son of Sabine Lamand and Donald Nelzy ... He is currently pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice.
