Utica, NY (11/19/12)- Sophomore Louis Educate of the Utica College men’s ice hockey team was named the College’s Male Athlete of the Week, Monday.
Educate, a native of Chicago, IL, totaled seven points over the weekend. On Friday, he exploded for four goals, three in a span of 3:35, and added two assists in the Pioneers' 11-2 victory of ECAC West opponent Elmira College. On Saturday he added an assist as Utica fell to Elmira 7-4. He currently leads the team and ranks fifth nationally with an average of 2.14 points per contest (seven goals, eight assists).
The Pioneers return to action Saturday as they host Amherst College. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
