Utica, NY (9/29/14) – Senior running back Jesse Baldassare of the Utica College football team was named to the College’s Male Athlete of the Week, Monday, for his performance against Brockport.

On the opening drive of the game Baldassare rushed for 12 yards on three carries and scored a touchdown. Later in the quarter he broke free for a 57 yard run that led to a Pioneer touchdown. Baldassare capped his night with 147 total yards and 3 touchdowns.

Baldassare is fifth in the conference with four rushing touchdowns, and ranks seventh in rushing yards (267).  He lead leads the Pioneers with an average of 66.75 yards per game and 267 rushing yards. The Pioneers are 4-0 overall for just the seocnd time in the programs 14-year history.

The Pioneers will hit the road this weekend to take on nationally-ranked No. 19 Ithaca College. The game is set to kick off at 1 p.m.
