Utica University Athletics

Junior Sarah Wiatr, of the Utica College women's track & field team, was named the College’s Female Athlete of the Week on Monday.  She took home first place and set a new indoor school-record in the triple jump with a leap of 11.55 meters as the Pioneers placed ninth at the RIT Tiger Invitational Saturday. 

Her mark of 11.55 meters is currently ranked No. 1 in all of Division III on the national women's indoor qualifying list.

She also placed sixth in the women's 200 meter dash with a time of 27.74 to earn three more team points for the UC.

Utica returns to the track on Saturday when the Pioneers travel to The College at Brockport to participate in the Golden Eagle Invitational at 10 a.m
