UTICA, NY – Utica College senior kicker Thomas Woodburn has been named the college’s Co-Male Athlete of the Week for his performance against Brockport on Saturday.
 
Woodburn kicked a career high five field goals and one extra point for a school-record breaking 16 points for a kicker on Saturday. He kicked the game winning 35-yard field goal in overtime against Brockport to give the team its first road win of the season. Woodburn now has a school-record 206 points and is the first player to get more than 200 points in a career.
 
Woodburn is ranked first in the conference and first in the nation in field goals per game (2.7). He is second in the conference and 13^th in the nation in field goal percentage (.917).
 
The Pioneers improved to 4-2 overall with a 3-1 Empire 8 Conference record. The team will be on the road Saturday to take on Empire 8 rival St. John Fisher. The game is scheduled for 1 p.m.
