UTICA, NY – Freshman forward George Lotito (Staten Island, NY/ NH Jr. Monarchs) of the Utica College men’s hockey team was named the College’s Male Athlete of the week for the week ending Feb. 13^th. Lotito netted two goals this weekend as the Pioneers lost two games to ECAC Men’s West Conference rival Neumann University.

UC, which was ranked seventh nationally, lost to conference foe Neumann University to snap the Pioneers’ four game winning streak. Lotito now has a total of four goals for the season.

The Pioneers are now 17-7 overall with a conference record of 6-5. They are in third place in the conference with one game remaining. The Pioneers can clinch the number two seed with a win and a Neumann loss.

The Pioneers return to the ice Saturday night when they take on conference-leading Elmira College. The puck is scheduled to drop at 7 p.m. at the Utica Memorial Auditorium.
