UTICA, NY – Rebecca Plunkett of the Utica College women’s lacrosse team was named the College’s Female Athlete of the week.

The Pioneers hosted Buffalo State and Albright College last weekend in the American Heart Association Tournament … Utica lost the first game against Buffalo State 17-11 … Plunkett finished with a team-high four goals … The Pioneers finished the weekend with a win over Albright 9-4 … Plunkett again finished with a team-high four goals.

On Wednesday the Pioneers won a non-conference game against Skidmore College 13-11 to improve its overall record to 2-1 … Utica will travel to Potsdam, New York on Saturday to take on Clarkson University … Game is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
