UTICA, NY- Utica College senior Erik Winberg, was named Utica’s Male Athlete of the Week on Monday after his performance for the men’s cross-country team over the weekend.
 
Winberg set a new school record in the 8k after finishing with a time of 25:32.9 at the NCAA Division III Altlantic Region Cross-Country Championships. His time was good enough to place him 46^th out of 303 runners on the day. The Pioneers posted 405 points which was good enough for a program-best 15^th place finish at the event.
 
This was the cross-country team’s last meet of the year.
