UTICA, NY – Freshman Sabrina Whitehouse of the Utica College field hockey team played a part in two big wins this past week and was named the College’s Female Athlete of the Week for her efforts.

Whitehouse registered her first collegiate point as she tallied an assist on the game-winner in the Pioneers' 3-1 win over Ithaca on Wednesday.  She came back on Saturday and posted her first collegiate goal with under a minute to play against Nazareth College to lift the Pioneers to a 3-2 victory in their Empire 8 Conference opener. 

Whitehouse currently ranks fourth on the team with three points in four contests.

UC (4-0, 1-0 Empire 8) looks to remain unbeaten on Wednesday when it travels to RPI to take on the Engineers in non-conference action at 4:30 p.m. in Troy, NY.
