Utica, NY – Kaitlynn Palmer of the Utica College women’s lacrosse team has been chosen as the UC Female Athlete of the Week.
 
Palmer helped lead the Pioneers to two wins last week against SUNY Canton and Houghton, securing the number two seed in the upcoming Empire 8 Tournament. She scored 10 goals in just two games during the week.
 
In the 11-10 win over Canton, Kaitlynn scored three goals including the go-ahead goal to give Utica the lead in the final minutes of the game. She then followed that performance with a seven-goal effort in the team’s 16-6 blowout over Houghton.
 
The Pioneers will face-off against the number three seeded Stevens Ducks on Saturday for the first round of the conference tournament. Game will begin at 2 p.m.
