Utica, NY - Senior Mitchell Marlow of the Utica College men's track & field team has been named UC Male Athlete of the Week for his stellar outing this past weekend at the Empire 8 Championships at Houghton College.

Marlow produced a huge highlight in the men's 3,000 meters as he finished off a sweep of the men's distance events with a winning time of 8:50.21. Added to his wins in the mile and 5,000 meters from the first day, the head coaches in the conference selected him as the Track Athlete of the Meet. Utica was second in the team competition with 133.5 points. St. John Fisher won the team championship.

UC track & field returns to action this weekend for the All-Atlantic Regional Track & Field Conference Championship at Nazareth College.
