Stefania Grimaldi has been named a Pioneer Athlete of the Week for the week of May 5th, 2025.

Grimaldi took home the Empire 8 title in the heptathlon this past weekend after collecting 3868 total points. The versatile star took first in the heptathlon long jump with a 5.25m leap, and first in the heptathlon javelin throw with a 32.79m toss. Grimaldi also took second in the 800m with a time of 2:44.62. Her great placement in multiple phases of the event allowed her to capture her first Empire 8 Title, an excellent achievement for the Poland, New York native in just her second year.
