CICERO, NY - The Utica University men's golf team completed day one of the Empire 8 Fall Championship on Sunday evening. Utica is in fourth place and 35 over as a team with 323 strokes

Newcomer Daniel Maloney () was Utica's top finisher after scoring a 78, six-over-par. On the first nine holes, Maloney had one birdie and five pars. He scored a 38 on the first nine and 40 on the back.
 
Louis Roman carded a 79, seven-over-par and placed tenth. Roman had three birdies on the afternoon, scoring a 40 on holes 1-9 and a 44 on 10-18. Nathan Macdonald (Canton, MA/Canton) went 12 over, and placed 18th. Neil Roman (Oswego, NY/Oswego) (+12), Adam Woodmansee (Brewerton, NY/Paul V. Moore) (+14), Joey Bagnato (Spencerport, NY/Spencerport) (+20).
 
Utica wraps up the Empire 8 Championship on Monday, October 7 at 11 a.m. at the Lakeshore Yacht and Country Club in Cicero, NY.
