Utica, N.Y. (10-11-10) - Junior wide receiver #Jeremy Meier# has been named the College’s Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending Oct. 11, 2010.  Meier caught a game-high nine passes for 117 yards, including a season-long 45 yard touchdown reception, as the Pioneers defeated visiting St. Lawrence University 31-13 Saturday at Charles A. Gaetano Stadium. 

He currently leads the team with 31 catches for 409 yards and four touchdowns through six games.  He has caught at least four passes in every game and he is averaging 13.2 yards per catch.  He ranks third on the College’s career list with ten touchdown catches in two seasons.

Meier and the Pioneers are off to their best start in the program’s ten year history with a 5-1 record headed into a key Empire 8 Conference match-up against host Springfield College on Saturday.
