Utica, NY (5-7-12) – Senior Joe Pruckno, of the Utica College men’s track and field team, was named the College’s Male Athlete of the Week Monday.

Pruckno won the 110 hurdles at the NYSCTC Outdoor Championships this past weekend at the University of Rochester. The All-American recorded a final time of 14.68 in the hurdles while also placing seventh in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.12.

He recently received his second career All-American honor after taking home sixth place at the 2012 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships in Ginnell, IA on March, 10 2012. Pruckno has tallied five wins and three second places finishes this season in the hurdle events.

UC returns to action Saturday as its heads to Oneonta, NY for the Oneonta State May Meet. The events will be held at the All College Field and Track and are scheduled to start at 3 p.m.
