Utica, NY (3/4/13) – Sophomore Morgan DuPont of the Utica College women’s lacrosse team was named the College’s Female Athlete of the Week for her efforts on the field in the Pioneers convincing season-opening victory on Saturday Mar. 2.

DuPont tallied a career-best seven points on three goals and four assists as the Pioneers defeated the visiting Houghton Highlanders 20-1. Her four assists land her tied for second all-time on the College’s single-game assist list. The sophomore starter was 3-for-3 on shots, caused three turnovers and scooped up four ground balls in the win.

The Pioneers return to action on Wednesday, Mar. 6 as they travel to Skidmore College for a non-conference match up. Game time is set for 4 p.m.
