Utica, NY (10/6/14) – Ryan Stalker of the Utica College golf team was named the College’s Male Athlete of the Week, Monday, for his performance in the ECAC Division III Mid-Atlantic Championship.
On the second day of play the Pioneers scored 353. Utica, as a team, took off 13 strokes from the opening day. Stalker led the Pioneers posting an overall 168 score. In the final round Stalker took off four strokes and finished the day scouring an 82.
Stalkers best round of golf came in the St. Lawrence Invitational totaling 161. In the two-day event he scored a 79 and an 82; both scores are Stalkers seasons best.
The Pioneers return to action next weekend as they head to Rochester, NY for the Nazareth Invitational. Saturday's match will be held at the Monroe Golf Club while Sunday's round will take place at the Irondequoit Country Club. Tee times are to be announced.
