UTICA, NY - Ashelyne Babb of the Utica College women's basketball team was named the College’s female athlete of the week for her performance in two games over the weekend. 

Babb had 19 points on 9-for-17 shooting, to go along with five rebounds, three assists and two steals in a 91-84 victory on Thursday against Renssalaer Polytechnic Institute. Babb also had 16 points on 6-for-15 shooting; five rebounds, one assist, and one steal in a 72-65 loss to SUNY Poly on Saturday.
 
Babb is currently ninth in the Empire 8 Conference averaging 14.0 points per game, totaling 56 points over her first four games. Babb is also second in the conference in steals per game, averaging 2.5 per game.
 
The Pioneers will be back in action on Monday, Nov. 30, as they will travel to Clinton, NY for a matchup with Hamilton College. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
