UTICA, NY- Junior LuLu Zhang of the Utica College women’s tennis team was named the College’s Female Athlete of the Week, Monday.
Zhang won four matches as the Pioneers went 2-2 last week. On Friday, she won her singles match 6-1, 6-2 and added an 8-2 victory in doubles to help the Pioneers down Elmira 5-4 in Empire 8 Conference action. She followed that up with a 6-0, 6-0 victory in singles and an 8-0 win in doubles on Sunday against SUNY Delhi.
UC returns to action this weekend as it takes on Nazareth College and Wells College on the road Saturday and Sunday, both at 1 p.m.
