Utica University Athletics

Freshman Sydney Scaccia of the Utica College field hockey team was named the College’s Female Athlete of the Week on Monday.
 
Scaccia totaled four goals in a 1-1 week for Utica.  On Wednesday, she had a goal as UC fell to Geneseo 4-2.  She followed that up with three goals in 1:38 to help the Pioneers to a 5-1 win over Brockport on Saturday.  She now ranks third on the team in goals (five) and points (11).
 
The Pioneers (8-7, 4-3 Empire 8) return to action Wednesday as they travel to Skidmore College.  Game time is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
