UTICA, NY -- Senior swimmer Phoebe King was named the Utica College Female Athlete of the Week on Monday.

King recently broke two program records for events in a 25-Meter Pool. Her second place time of 28.04 set a school-record for the 50-meter freestyle event. King then went on to record a time of 1:01.37, breaking the program record in the 100-meter freestyle this past weekend in a meet against Nazareth College.

King has come in first place in each of the team’s 14 meets this season, including five meets where she came in first in multiple events (freestyle, backstroke and individual medley race).

King and the women’s swim and dive team are back in action Saturday afternoon as they travel to St. Lawrence University. Game start time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
