Utica, NY (10/15/12)- Sophomore Louise Steele-Norton of the Utica College field hockey team was named the College’s Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending October 22.

The standout forward from Avondale, PA scored two goals in the Pioneers’ 2-1 win over nationally-ranked No. 11 Skidmore College on Wednesday.  She now has 19 tallies on the season, surpassing Katie Kutas '08 and Danielle Fiore '04 for first on the College's all-time single-season goal scoring list. She also moved into third place on the single-season point scoring list, just two points behind Kutas and three behind Fiore.

The Pioneers are currently 9-4 overall and 2-3 in the Empire 8.  They return to action Wednesday as they travel to Ithaca for a key E8 match up against the Bombers.  Game time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
